#103 -- Triangle Loom Weaving, Kathy Moskal - instructor, 9:00- Noon

Cost: $50/student - Weaving materials are included and will be provided at class time. A 3 foot Triangle Loom will be provided to use in class and can be purchased for $50.
Skill Level: Beginner
Description: The products made on the this loom are triangular in shape when they are finished. Depending on the size of the triangles you are weaving, they can be pieced together (whip stitched) to make other items of almost any configuration including pillow covers, placemats, ruanahas, couch throws, afghans, or bedspreads.
Weaving on the triangle loom is as rewarding as it is simple. There is no "dressing" to be done; you just start right in weaving from the beginning. Using a single strand of yarn you add both a warp and a weft strand with each pass across the loom. Tartans are a snap since the symmetry is automatic using this technique. Complete written instructions are included with each loom. No previous experience is needed.
Size selection examples:
Size selection depends on what you want to make. A 3 foot loom could be used to make a scarf, a shawl for a child or 4 of them could be pieced together to make a 7 foot adult shawl. Two 4-foot shawls could be put together to make a lap blanket.
